The Extended Essay is an integral and most challenging aspect of the IB Diploma Program. It completely defines the IB Learner Profile giving a perfect opportunity to the students to be inquirers, thinkers, reflectors, communicators and researchers. The EE Cafe is an important step in the Extended Essay journey of the students which begins towards the end of year of the Diploma Programme. During the EE Cafe,the DP Year 1 students gave a sales pitch for choosing the subject in which they would write their 4000 words research paper. Each student researched three subjects and pitched the topics and tentative Research questions to the teachers.

The pitch gave the students the first exposure to researching and it was a pleasure to hear them speak so convincingly about what interests them about the subject and topic in which they want to write the research paper. The teachers will grade them on a standardised rubric and the final selection of the subject and topic will be made. Wishing all the students the very best for their extended Essay Journey.
