As part of the mission of our school and the IB, we at Smt Sulochanadevi Singhania School IBDP keep striving to give opportunities to our young learners to develop as Caring and empathetic individuals. The CAS  visit of the IBDP students and faculty to Dr Menon's Palliative Care Centre was a great learning experience. The students celebrated Rakshabandhan by tying eco friendly rakhis to the residents and staff at the centre. They learnt the difference between Geriatric care and palliative care and symptoms and stages of Dementia. They got a first hand glimpse of the wonderful work Dr Menon and her team are doing. The students sang and danced for the residents and spent the day talking to all the elderly residents who shared not just their life stories but also valuable life lessons. It was a huge learning for the students and faculty. They came back with the resolve to spend as much time as they can with the elders in their family. It was a fulfilling day indeed!!
