IBDP students collaborated with Rotract Club of Thane Lake City and Socio Shiva for Project Vanrakshak. The bright Sunday morning of 22nd January saw the IBDP students and teachers trek up Yeoor Hills picking up plastic and other trash on the way. This initiative not just covered the activity and service strands of CAS but was also a step in creating awareness about the UN Sustainable Development Goal number 15- Life on land. The activists from Socio Shiva gave a good insight to the students about how the litter disturbs and damages the ecosystem. The trek was overall an exhilarating experience both physically and mentally stimulating.
