The Year 2 students of the IBDP conducted the finals of ‘Investopreneur’ , ( a Business Plan Presentation competition) on the 22nd of September. The participants of eight teams, who were shortlisted after the elimination round, presented their detailed business plans with innovative ideas to a panel of judges, who themselves have been entrepreneurs.. The experienced judges, Mr Divesh Bathija, founder of Dinasim Learning and Mr Uday Shetty, founder member of Wagons Skill Foundation, provided valuable feedback to the contestants which helped them gain a better perspective of the business world. There were many great innovative business ideas ranging from ‘Swazign’, a website where the customers design clothes themselves to ‘DOTS’, an app which delivered food to the user in a mall, instead of the user having to stand in queues. The contesting teams confidently answered questions posed by the judges and also the audience. All the contestants put in their best work, including the teams who didn’t get selected for the finals. But ‘Ezzy’ stole the show with their dissolvable toilet paper and won the first prize. Overall, it was a very enriching experience for the participants as well as the audience.
