The IBDP students went on a CAS trip to a village in the Urmodi backwaters near Satara from 3-5 October. The scenic beauty of the location combined with the rustic ambience of the resort was an amazing experience.

The IBDP students proved themselves to be selfless and empathetic learners when they spent an entire day with the children of the local village school near the resort. They set up a library for the students, painted the school walls and fences, played with the students as well as taught them some craft. It made them realise what difficulty the students in the rural areas face.

The next day they went on a Trek up to the nearest waterfall. The trek was a tricky one with a rocky and slippery path but the view of the waterfall made it all worthwhile. Like true campers they cooked Maggi Noodles and tea at the top of the hill. Guerrilla warfare games, a bonfire and a DJ night made the trip a truly memorable experience.
