On the 26th April , 2022 the students of Smt.Sulochanadevi Singhania School met (virtually!), interacted and got to know quite a lot about people living in another part of the world. We, from India and the students of IES Manacor, Spain spent some quality time with a question and answer session in which we picked upon information about each other, our schools, IB in Spain and India, our post Covid journey back to school, popular culture ,food and music and dispelling some stereotypes about India and so much more!
It was certainly worthwhile and the time spent with them did indeed fly past very quickly! The students and the teacher, Miss Estafania, were very warm and friendly with their approach and each one of us tried our best to give them back the same. The introduction by Adriano, the entire event was driven by all the participants, the questions and answers asked and answered with full participation and zeal, by various students of both Singhania School and IES Manacor and the vote of thanks by Manasa, had the event successfully completed in an about an hour.
As much as the students of Spain were supported by their teacher, we had a lovely faculty here to support us through each and every step. Sandhya ma’am, Sampada ma’am and Gilsy ma’am stayed with us guiding and supporting us throughout, and this event certainly would not have been possible without them. This event has only been possible because of a big hand in its execution by our principal, Revathi Srinivasan ma’am, IB head, Sangeeta Kapur ma’am and International head, Vaijayanthi ma’am. Our Spanish facilitator Ms. Netra added the spanish zing to the entire interaction.Overall, this event was one out of many that we were looking forward to all of last week, and are hoping for more such events to grace our times in the future where not only schools and people globally get closer, but the ties between two amazing countries get strong too.
